16-Year-Old Shoots Man In A Moving Train

Police arrested a 16-year-old and another teen for shooting a man on the Washington, D.C. Metro Tuesday afternoon as the train entered the Anacostia Metro station.

Metro Transit Police (MTPD) announced the two apprehended males were the only ones involved in the shooting, and both will be charged with assault with intent to kill. MTPD will also push to have the 16-year-old tried as an adult, according to the department’s Twitter account.

The unidentified 16-year-old shooter and 19-year-old Andre Broadie were taken into custody after police spotted them crossing the South Capitol Street Bridge near the Anacostia Metro station.

The investigation is ongoing and police have not provided a clear motive at this time, but the incident seemed to stem from an attempted robbery on board the train, according to WUSA9.
